Creating Community for Tenants

Harison Place is a housing community where friendships grow, memories are made and life is enjoyed together. Tenants and staff regularly gather for activities that spark connection among community members. Over the summer, they celebrated three afternoons of sunshine during Summer Fun Days, featuring tie-dye, sports, music, sidewalk chalk and cool treats. In the fall, the community embraced the season with a Fall Fun Day, creating beautiful autumn-themed centerpieces to brighten their homes.

Building Financial Confidence

Heather Couture, Vice President – Senior Commercial Relationship Manager, and Stacey Brunell, Malone Branch Manager, from NBT Bank visited Harison Place in the spring to lead an engaging financial literacy session for tenants.

The presentation focused on practical strategies for managing monthly expenses, paying bills and setting aside money for personal spending—essential tools for building financial confidence and independence. By offering clear, actionable guidance, this session helped tenants strengthen their understanding of personal finance and develop habits that support long-term stability.

For Harison Place tenants, these skills not only reduce stress but also empower them to maintain autonomy and thrive in a supportive community setting.
