Fourth Annual Fieldstone Music Festival Sets New Records

The Fourth Annual Fieldstone Music Festival, held Saturday, June 21, 2025, in Malone, delivered record-breaking results and further solidified its place as a signature community event in Franklin County.

Thanks to extraordinary teamwork and community support, ticket sales increased by 158% and attendance grew by 78% over 2024. Overall participation and engagement reached new heights, and total revenue rose 34%, making this the most successful festival to date.

Proceeds from the festival supported the Fieldstone Foundation’s mission to provide food, housing and financial assistance, and expanded access to behavioral health services through Citizen Advocates and St. Joseph’s Addiction Treatment & Recovery Centers.

Festivalgoers enjoyed a dynamic lineup featuring headliners 7 Summers, a Morgan Wallen tribute band traveling from California, alongside local favorites Taylor LaValley Band and Slab City. Together, they delivered a mix of soulful sounds, classic rock and country music.

The festival experience extended well beyond the stage. A new Fire Department BBQ Chicken Competition brought together local departments competing for the title of Fieldstone Music Festival’s BBQ Chicken Champion. Additional attractions included a cornhole tournament open to all skill levels and an expanded Kids’ Zone, making the event welcoming for all ages and reinforcing its role as a true family-friendly community celebration.

Acts of generosity stood out, from beverage tent volunteers donating their tips to cornhole tournament winners contributing their prize money back to the foundation. These moments reflected the heart of the festival and the belief that when neighbors show up for neighbors, meaningful and lasting change is possible.

We were thrilled to bring the community together for a day of great music and fun while raising vital funds...Every ticket sold and every act of generosity made a real difference for children, families and individuals in the communities we serve.

Keeping Kids Fed Throughout the Summer Months

Throughout the summer, children across Northern Franklin County had access to nutritious breakfasts and lunches through the Fieldstone Foundation’s Summer Food Service Program, resulting in 19,000 meals served at recreation parks, schools and community centers in Brushton, Chateaugay, Constable, Malone, North Bangor, St. Regis Falls and West Bangor. This vital support helped ensure children had consistent access to healthy food when school-based meals were unavailable.

Launching the Summer Food Service Program each year requires significant preparation, including state approvals, community site certifications, menu planning that meets New York State nutrition standards, food sourcing and training for site supervisors and staff—all well before the first meal is served. Throughout the summer, teams also manage required reporting and monitoring to ensure the program continues to meet state and federal guidelines.

Supported by USDA funding and administered through the New York State Education Department, the program provides free meals to all children and teens 18 and under. The seven‑week initiative also brings families together and strengthens community connection all summer long.

When school doors close for summer, we make sure the door to nutrition stays wide open.

One Act of Kindness Can Create a Powerful Ripple

Sparked by the generosity of the Martin Family and strengthened by partners including Casella, Pediatric Dentistry of Malone and McDonald’s of Malone, the Fieldstone Foundation provided backpacks filled with school supplies to more than 100 students across Franklin County. Through this effort, students began the school year supported, prepared and confident.

Holiday Giving Brings Warmth and Joy to Local Children

During the 2025 holiday season, the Fieldstone Foundation helped make winter warmer and brighter for local children and families. With the support of community partners, Fieldstone sponsored Christmas gifts for 30 children and provided essential winter gear—including coats, boots, snowpants, hats and gloves—to 27 children in the region.

Proper winter gear helps kids stay warm so they can wait for the bus, join recess and enjoy the simple joys of childhood, like sledding, building snow forts and making snowmen.

This effort was made possible through partnerships with the Martin Family, TruNorthern Federal Credit Union, Leonard’s Cherry Knoll and local school districts that helped identify families who could use extra support during the holidays.

Together, these acts of generosity reflect the power of trusted partnerships and shared care, with neighbors coming together to ensure every child feels supported, included and celebrated.

What the Backpack Program Means to Them

In 2025, Fieldstone Foundation’s Backpack Program provided nutritious weekend meals to nearly 450 children in grades K–6 experiencing food insecurity. The program served students across seven local elementary schools: Brushton-Moira, Chateaugay, Davis Elementary, Flanders Elementary, St. Joseph’s Elementary, Salmon River and St. Regis Falls. Through bright colors and heartfelt messages, school-aged participants shared what the program means to them, showing that it offers more than weekend meals and snacks by providing care, kindness and the reassurance that they are supported.
